FOUNDER

The founder of the Trust is Mrs.Manro Johnson ,wife of Mr.Johnson Pandithurai.The Trustee is interested in providing various relief programmes for the benefit of the Tribal people of all age groups in the hills.

HISTORY OF THE HILLS

TAMARAIKARAI Village is situated in the BURGUR HILLS, Anthiyur(via),Bhavani(Tk), Erode district,Tamilnadu,S.India.

These hills lie at about 3000 feet above sea level and covers an area of about 6000 square kilometers of dense forests.There are about 33 small villages around Tamaraikarai.

The children in these villages waste and spoil their lives by rearing sheep and cattle in the dense forests due to the lack of education.

The Tribals in these hills live below the poverty line and still follow many superstitions.

The way of life in these hills and lack of proper sanitation and education affect mainly the children in these areas.

These hills were once the abode for the Sandalwood smuggler late Veerappan and to his mates.
